Wu Yiqiao, Secretary of the CPC in the School of Foreign Languages

 

    Master of Law of Zhejiang University and Associate Researcher. He once served as Secretary of the Party Working Committee of the Government, Secretary of the General Branch of the Government, Deputy Director of the Ddminitration Office of the Party and Government , and Deputy Director of the Party Committee Office. He is also the chairman of Zhejiang Hard Nib Calligraphers Association and a member of the Chinese Calligraphers Association. He has won the first prize of the National Calligraphy Competition for many times. His more than 100 works and papers were published in newspapers such as Chinese Calligraphy and more than ten newspapers and periodicals such as China Book Road. He hosted and participated in more than ten research projects at the department level and above such as the key planning projects of Zhejiang Higher Society of Education, Zhejiang Philosophy and Social Science Planning Project, Zhejiang Education Planning Project, Planning Project of China Higher Society of Education, etc., and owned outstanding academic achievements of college students in China First prize and other great rewards. He is currently chairing the overall work of the Party Committee of the School of Foreign Languages, and is responsible for party affairs, united front, propaganda, discipline inspection, trade unions, undergraduate enrollment, employment, informationization, income generation, and ideological and political education of faculty and staff.

 

 

Guo Jidong, Dean of the School of Foreign Languages

 

    Ph.D., professor, master tutor. He once studied at Jilin University, Shanghai International Studies University and the University of Arizona. His research interests include second language acquisition, applied linguistics and translation theory. He has presided over more than 10 projects of various types, published more than 40 papers in professional journals such as language, education and social sciences, published 2 monographs, and edited 7 textbooks and collections of papers; Due to Relevant achievements, he got Zhejiang University scientific research achievements awards and other great awards. He currently presides over the National Social Science, Humanities and Social Sciences of the Ministry of Education and the Zhejiang Social Science Project, mainly engaged in foreign language learning psychology and translation ethics research. He is responsible for the overall administrative work of the School of Foreign Languages, and is responsible for disciplines, personnel, finance, scientific research, professional construction, postgraduate enrollment and training.

 

 

Wang Yi’an, Vice Dean of the School of Foreign Languages

 

    Ph.D., Professor, Master tutor, Master of Intercultural Communication, Department of Linguistics, University of Sydney, PhD in Intercultural Studies, Shanghai International Studies University. His main research direction is intercultural research and intercultural education. Member of the International Society for Intercultural Communication (IAICS), the International Languages and Intercultural Communication Society (IALIC), and the China Intercultural Communication Society (CAFIC). In the past three years, he has participated in one of the National Social Science Funds (the first three), presided over 2 provincial and ministerial-level projects, 4 department-level projects, and 1 university teaching model reform project. He published 2 articles of SSCI, A&HCI international journals and more than 10 domestic core journals. He was rewarded as Excellent Young Teacher in 2003, Outstanding Young Talent in Zhejiang Province in 2008, HDU New Talent  in 2009. Besides, he got the third prize in 2015 Provincial Micro-class competition, and Provincial Top Ten Teachers in 2015. At present, he is responsible for foreign language school teaching, library materials, international exchange and cooperation, laboratory construction management.

 

 

Zhang Qifeng, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Secretary of the Disciplinary Committee

 

    Master of History, lecturer, successively served as a counselor of the branch of the School of Information Engineering, secretary of the Party branch, part-time organizer, officer of the Party Committee Organization Department (United Front Work Department), head of the cadre department, deputy director of the security department, etc. He has been seconded to the Provincial Education Commission, the Provincial Department of Education, the Provincial Party Committee Organization Department and other units. He was send to the Provincial Education Commission, the Provincial Department of Education, the Provincial Party Committee Organization Department and other units on secondment for many times. He has lectured on The Outline of Chinese Modern and Contemporary History, The Theory System of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics and Introduction to Mao Zedong Thought, Employment Guidance, Situation and Policy and other courses. He has presided over 7 various projects, including 3 at the bureau level. He has published more than 10 papers, including 3 core journal papers and 1 first-level journal. He was awarded the first prize of the outstanding papers of the Zhejiang Higher Education Society's Defence Work Committee, the second prize of the outstanding papers of the Party Building and Ideological and Political Education Seminar, the Outstanding Political Cadres of the School, the Excellent Summer Social Practice Guidance Teacher, and the Excellent Guidance Teacher of the Party Members Vanguard Team, the second prize of the faculty speech contest and other honors. He is responsible for the ideological and political education, daily management work, the Communist Youth League, the Commission for Discipline Inspection, etc.
